The Barcelona Festival of Song 2015 promotes women composers

In 2015 the Barcelona Festival of Song will pay special attention to the vocal works written by women, for this reason the festival has commisioned catalan composer Elisenda Fabregas to write a song cycle that will be debuted during the opening concert of the festival.

The opening concert will be entirely dedicated to music compositions of Iberian and Latin American women and all the concerts of the series will include pieces written by women. Commited to promote women´s artistic output the festival is cooperating with the Institut Català de la done.

The poster of 2015's festival was designed by renowed Catalan artist Pepa Poch. During the festival there will be an exhibition of the original art work of the poster at the Exhibition room of the Residencia d' investigadors.
