The American pianist Mac McClure will perform works by Catalan composers around the figure of Xavier Montsalvatge. He will perform works by Frederic Mompou, Montsalvatge, Francesc Capilla and Miguel Ortega and debuted works by Moisès Bertran, Carlota Garriga, and Joan Torrà.

Patricia Caicedo and Nikos Stavlas open the XIV Barcelona Festival of Song with the concert Un mon ideal that alludes to the desire for harmonious coexistence between the different cultural influences that have built the Iberian and the Latin American world. They will present songs in Ladino, Arabic, Catalan, Spanish, and Portuguese. An ideal world where different languages and cultures form a rich and diverse fabric.

The American painter Susan Martin presents her first exhibition in Barcelona, ​​a collection of large format paintings that include self-portraits and New York landscapes, the city where the artist resides. The well-known Brazilian tenor Lenine Santos returns to the Barcelona Festival of Song to present a recital in homage to the poet Manuel Bandeira. In 2018 we commemorate 50 years after his death. In his work Bandeira created an imaginary place, Pasárgada. We will go to this place in the wings of the songs of different Brazilian composers with texts by Bandeira.
